Whether you are a holiday pleasure rider or a hardened veteran of the saddle you will be invigorated by the beauty and splendour of beast and landscape.
We offer trail riding, hacks and lessons by the hour or for small groups half, full day or up to three day packages.
The trails are on forest paths between Lough Corrib and Lough Mask and over the Ashford Castle Estate.
We have immeditate access to 3000 acres of forestry. Natural outcrops of limestone provide refuge for many rare plants and wild creatures
There are beautiful views of the lakes and the Connemara mountains.
All rides are supervised by guides. Each rider is introduced to their horse and rides around an arena before setting out.
Hard hats and jodpur boots are supplied. All levels of riders are catered for and grouped according to ability. If parties of friends or families are mixed ability the type of ride will be to the standard of the least experienced rider.
There are many items of historical interest to be seen on the trail including an old Castle which can be explored.
The last High King of Ireland ended his days in Cong Abbey which can still be seen to this day as can the old dry canal which was built during famine times between the two lakes but never held water.

Ashford Equestrian Centre is open all year.
Major credit cards are accepted. For two or more persons rides cost €35 per person for one hour and €65 per person for two hours.
Appointments can be made from 9.00am. Last ride at 4.30pm. Appointments are recommended although we will try to accommodate 'drop in' business
